Dear Shareholders,

Please attend the Brattleboro Food Co-op’s Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 27, from 4:45-7:30pm, right across the street, at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center. It’s a time for strengthening our Co-op community, reinvigorating our commitment to local, and reminding us of all the ways our Co-op contributes to a vibrant downtown. We will share with you how your Co-op did in the most recent fiscal year.

This year, we’re especially excited to bring back something we haven’t been able to do in quite a while: a full sit-down dinner together. The meal will be thoughtfully prepared by our talented Co-op catering team, featuring local ingredients and showcasing the food, people and partnerships that make our Co-op so special. We hope you’ll enjoy a delicious meal, connecting with friends, neighbors and fellow Co-op owners.

This year’s theme and the topic of our guest speaker, Vern Grubinger, is Local Resilient Agriculture. Vern’s career has focused on supporting and learning from farmers. As Vermont’s Vegetable and Berry Specialist he provides technical advice and conducts applied research. He has led projects addressing climate change and agriculture, high tunnel production, marketing, pest management, pollinator support, produce safety, renewable energy, soil health, and more. You will also meet in person those shareholders running for open Board seats.

Please register by Tuesday, October 20th, so our culinary team knows how much food to prepare! If you don’t register in time, that’s okay, you’re still welcome to come.
