The 2026 BFC Annual Shareholder Meeting will be held at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center, 10 Vernon St, Brattleboro on Tuesday, October 27, from 4:45-7:30 p.m. 

Each year, our cooperative holds an Annual Meeting. These meetings are a time to come together as a co-op community to learn about the state of the business, get familiar with our Board of Directors, General Manager, and other key Co-op players, and to eat delicious food! Over the years these meetings have been held at various locations in Southern Vermont, with an array of amazing guest speakers and other highlights from the BFC world of partner organizations, principles, and people. 

Annual shareholder meetings are required by our bylaws, which underscores the importance of these events as shareholders' opportunity to consider the state of our shared enterprise:

Article 4, Shareholder Meetings, Section 4.1: 

"The annual shareholder meeting shall be held in the fall of each year at a time and place determined by the Board of Directors and announced no less than nine weeks before the date of the meeting. The purpose of the annual meeting shall be to hear reports on operations and finances, to review any important policy issues or other matters that vitally affect the Co-op, to elect directors and to conduct such other business as may properly come before the meeting."
