We simply don’t have room in the Co‑op parking lot for this twice‑yearly event, so we host it just one street over. You can drive directly to the sale or walk across the Whetstone footbridge from the Co‑op to 77 Flat Street (in front of the parking garage), or, as some of our long-time customers might remember, the old Dottie’s Discount Store (which used to be a discount annex for the Co-op). There’s something nostalgic about returning to this spot; a familiar corner of Brattleboro where many community members have shopped for decades. On sale days, the area comes alive with the bustle of shoppers, volunteers, and the unmistakable energy of a good deal waiting to be found.

This is a community favorite (yes, it is open to everyone) and features some serious savings on case quantities of pantry staples, canned and bulk goods, household essentials, and more. Shoppers often arrive with their price lists checked off and even friends in tow, ready to stock up for the season. It’s not unusual to see neighbors comparing finds, recommending products, or helping one another load up their cars — the kind of everyday cooperation that makes this event feel special.
