Dear Co-op Community,
As the holiday season arrives, I’m reminded how meaningful it is to be part of a cooperative community that chooses shared values and mutual support. The Brattleboro Food Co-op is more than a grocery store — it’s a place where neighbors come together, local food is celebrated, and cooperation makes a real difference year-round.
Behind the scenes, we’ve been making important improvements to better serve you. One of our largest efforts this year and going into 2026 is upgrading our refrigeration systems. While not always visible, these updates are essential for reducing food waste, improving energy efficiency, protecting food safety, and keeping shelves well-stocked with the fresh, high-quality food you expect. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we’ve worked through this process.
We’re also deeply grateful to our staff, who show up every day with care, commitment, and pride. Their dedication is what creates the welcoming experience you feel when you walk through our doors, especially during the busy holiday season. Thank you for the kindness you show them — it truly matters.
We remain committed to our local farmers, producers, and vendors, who are at the heart of this Co-op. Choosing to shop here is choosing to invest in the local economy and strengthen the network of people who feed our community.
As we look ahead to the new year, our focus will continue to be on strengthening operations, enhancing your shopping experience, and deepening our role as a community gathering place rooted in cooperation and care.
Thank you for being an owner, a shopper, and a supporter of the Brattleboro Food Co-op. We’re honored to be part of your holidays and your everyday life.
With warm wishes,
Emilee
