Board Member Steps Down

Lee Halpern has stepped down from the Co-op’s Board of Directors.

“Unfortunately, after much thought, unforeseen circumstances at my job dictate that I resign from my board seat prematurely…I have enjoyed my time on the BFC board, especially getting to better know the business workings of my local co-op and supporting Emilee’s transition into the GM role.  – Lee Halpern“

Per Board policy, when vacancies occur on the Board, the Board determines (in Executive Session) whether, how, and by when to fill the vacancy. Specifically, the Board must decide whether to appoint someone to fill the remainder of a vacant term or to leave the position open until the next election in the fall of 2026.
