Update from the GM Search Committee

Over the past two weeks, the Search Committee has reached out to Co-op managers and staff to gather their input on what qualities are essential in the next General Manager, and to make sure their perspectives are reflected in the final job description. 

We’ve heard from two dozen individuals. While their priorities were largely aligned with those of the Board of Directors, they identified several qualifications that we have lifted into the final job description. We appreciate the time taken by the responding Co-op team members!

We are in the process of formally engaging the services of a consulting team from Columinate, a network of consultants who specialize in helping co-ops. They will post the job, receive and review application materials, pre-screen candidates, and suggest candidates to be interviewed. Three shareholders – one of them a member of the Co-op staff – will participate in any candidate interviews conducted by the Search Committee. We expect the job will be posted in the coming 10-14 days.
