1. Why would you like to serve on the Board of Directors of the Brattleboro Food Co-op (BFC)?
I shop almost exclusively at the Co-op, and I’ve been to a few events put on in association with the Co-op. I appreciate the Co-op’s vision, and I’d like to be a part of the process of building and maintaining that vision.
2. What experience or involvement have you had with the BFC or other cooperative enterprises?
I have been a member for about two years, and I shopped here before I became a member.
3. What opportunities or challenges do you see in the future for the BFC?
Bringing together a diverse community is going to be an ongoing challenge that will require taking an intersectional approach. In those challenges, however, lie vast opportunities!
4. What qualities, skills, and experiences would you bring to your service as a BFC board member?
I worked for about 20 years as an administrative assistant and in other, similar roles. I’m also (sometimes!) a writer and artist. I’m always looking for creative solutions to things.
