Okay, listen up, something’s happening on Friday, September 27th, from 11:30-2:30 that is kind of a BIG deal!
La Station Fromagerie is an organic, pasture-based creamery just over the border in Quėbec.
It has been family-owned for four generations, which does amazing things for flavor (geeky side note: Barber’s and Jumi, the two finalists in BFC’s Cheese Madness 2023, have been made by one family for several generations, as well, and Jumi, the one with more generations at its back, was the winner).
A La Station cheese placed first out of 1,596 contestants as “Best in Show” at the American Cheese Society’s Judging and Competition in July 2024.
Very few U.S. retailers sell La Station products.
Brattleboro Food Co-op is one of them. So, if you are into fromage, you won’t want to miss this rare opportunity to try a few flavors of this exceptional cheese.
