Round Up For Change for your community!

It’s easy to participate. At check-out, our cashiers will ask you if you would like to “round up” your purchase total to the nearest dollar allowing you to conveniently support a community contribution to the two organizations we feature each month.

Brattleboro Food Co-op’s Round Up For Change program aims to raise funds for initiatives in Windham County that work in partnership with us to extend our cooperative’s work and meet our Ends Policies. We reserve the right to deny anyone that does not specifically align with our cooperative’s work and Ends Policies. 

The Brattleboro Food Coop exists primarily to provide healthy, locally grown, organic, and fairly traded food and goods to our community. Our charitable giving efforts are currently focused on feeding under-served communities and related issues such as food insecurity, food justice, and food sovereignty.

SEPTEMBER 2023 recipients:
NEYT New England Youth Theatre NEYT fosters the growth of young people through the practice of  theatre arts in a welcoming, youth-centered community. We aspire for young people to discover the confidence and skills they need to be  active participants in creating healthy communities. NEYT.org	Foodworks … a foodshelf program operated by Groundworks Collaborative  The Family Garden is a non-profit organization that provides high-quality childcare to children ages six weeks to six years in a family-style setting. They strive to provide the best possible care at a reasonable rate to families in need of child care in the Windham County area. They strive to compensate their teachers fairly and provide children with stimulating activities in a nurturing and safe environment. Foodworks — a program of Groundworks Collaborative

Thank you for “Rounding Up” for these non-profit and local organizations. The total donations each month were split equally between the organizations listed for that month:

• August 2023 – $7,100  donations from Customers  “Rounding Up” at checkout, which was evenly split between the two organizations, plus an additional “match” for NofaVT from the Co-op of $3550
