With an abundance of colorful berries and fruits, the kids in this class will make delicious fillings for hand pies. Hand pies are made from pie crust (which the kids will roll out and cut for their pies) folded over the pie’s filling, much like a turnover. Each child can expect to make two pies.

Kids! Fun Foods From Around the World: Sicily
In this class, we will honor lemons and almonds, classic ingredients in Sicilian cooking. We will make a pasta and a dessert to highlight their savory and sweet versatility.
Fun with Food and Art: celebration of lights
We will meet at the Brattleboro Museum and Arts Center for an up-close look at the current art exhibit followed by a hands-on creative activity at the museum. Afterward, the class will walk up to the BFC Kitchen to make something delicious honoring the holiday season.
