Team Work Opportunity: Fill the Shelves at Foodworks!
Join us for August's TeamWork Opportunity* as we come together to help out at one of the co-op's Commitment to Community partners, FOODWORKS! Shareholders looking to earn work hours are invited to team up and unload, unpack, sort, and restock the shelves at Brattleboro's free neighborhood grocery store - much of it gratefully received from the Vermont Food Bank. Meet up with BFC staff member just around the corner from the Co-op at 141 Canal Street and let's fill those shelves! All attendees will earn 2 shareholder volunteer hours. This month we take a culinary trip to France to create fruit tartes. Each child will make their own tarte to take home and enjoy. Ages 0-14 with parent or caregiver. This is a free class, however, space is limited so registration is recommended. To sign up, email education@bfc.coop.

River Clean Up: A Shareholder Community Event
River Clean Up: A Shareholder Community Event
In conjunction with the Connecticut River Conservancy, Caz (from the Co-op) is leading a cleanup. This is a great opportunity to meet great people and get outdoors in a beautiful spot. Please bring wellingtons or waders if you have them, and also know that we have waders to borrow and plenty of non-wet jobs, too! Work gloves are provided for kids and adults alike. Meet at the far end of the parking lot, where it turns to dirt, and discover the mini-paradise that lies beyond. Saturday, September 23rd, 10 am-2 pm, registration is required for this free event.
