Try Before You Buy: Northeast Organic Family Farm Tasting
Try Before You Buy: Northeast Organic Family Farm Tasting
Kiley from Northeast Organic Family Farm Partnership (NOFFP) will be hosting a tasting at the Co-op. NOFFP was founded in 2021 when over a hundred organic family dairy farms were informed that the large business that purchased their milk would be terminating their contracts. The goals of NOFFP are to save 135 at-risk farms and to change the systemic issues that led to this situation in the first place. Kiley will offer customers a taste of cheeses from two farms in the partnership, the delectable Triple Cream from Champlain Valley Creamery and Mount Alice from von Trapp Farmstead. Stop by to experience how good local can taste and to learn more about how to help family-owned dairy farms!
