The Brattleboro Food Co-op deli offers hundreds of eat-in or take-out options making it the largest deli in the Brattleboro / Windham county region featuring dishes made from scratch right here.
Salad Bar – Open to all customers featuring a variety of veggies, greens, beans, and protein as serve-yourself.
Daily Hot Buffet – Hot food is available every day from 11 am – 6 pm! Serve yourself.
Our acclaimed hot buffet is made fresh daily with rotating menu options, including vegan, vegetarian, and meat-eater options available. There are always great veggies to choose from, and daily soups, too.

Coffee – We always have fresh-brewed coffee for your travel mug or to enjoy in the café. Our everyday self-serve coffee bar includes Mocha Joe’s, Equal Exchange (organic and fair trade), Fogbuster by Pierce Brothers (local and organic), and rich decaf. There are plenty of hot tea choices for you. And, be sure to try some of our outstanding chai and hot chocolate, which can be ordered at the counter.
Smoothies – Our organic smoothies are handmade, thick, rich, and delicious. We are happy to accommodate any custom requests you may have.
Hand-Made Sandwiches – Freshly baked bread from Bread Shed (located just over the river in Keene, NH) is our go-to for building and creating delicious sandwiches such as our locally famous ‘Da Bombe’ which is packed with roast beef and bacon, and our popular ‘Happy Hippie’ which is layered with pesto, roasted red peppers, and mozzarella cheese.
House-Made Soups – Each week, we make our own soup stock from scratch. This is why our soups taste so good. When you begin with high-quality ingredients, you end up with high-quality soups. Here’s a fun fact for you — we make over 700 gallons of soup during the winter months. Of course, we offer a variety of soups throughout the week, with vegan, vegetarian, and meat-eater options available.
Grab & Go Prepared Foods – We have a vast and flavorful array of house-made prepared foods which cycle through the Deli Grab & Go cases each week. Standards include salads (green and dressed salads, tuna salad, pasta salads, and slaws), slippery noodles, Korean spinach, locally made sushi and egg rolls by Anon’s Thai Food, tofu (roasted or Thai spice) flavored cream cheese, charcuterie, quiche, house-made sandwiches and wraps, and an amazing assortment of olives. Plus, a wall filled with your favorite bottled, boxed, or canned beverages — all at your fingertips in the Grab & Go cases.
Baked Goods – Many of our baked goods are made fresh daily, including vegan carrot cake, scones, turnovers, muffins, and giant cookies. We carry Saxy Chef pies, Hidden Bean baked goods, and other locally baked and distributed desserts. We have a variety of vegan and/or gluten-free options available.
Brick-Oven Pizza – Our brick oven pizzas are hand-made at the Co-op, and the crust is 98% local to Vermont. Many of the sauces on the pizzas are made from scratch right in our commissary kitchen.
Sliced Deli Meats and Cheeses – From in-house smoked Stonewood Farm turkey breasts to Cabot cheddar cheese slices, we have all your sandwich-making needs.
Rotisserie Chickens – Humanely raised and free of antibiotics and hormones, these 3-pound birds are roasted in-house twice daily!
Fish Friday – Every Friday, we hand bread wild-caught pollock and hand-cut steak fries to fry up and serve with our own house-made tartar sauce.
