Cooking Afghan Foods

$3 – $5Assad Akhlaqi will lead this class with the intention of bridging the Afghan and US cultures through food. We will make traditional Kabuli Pulao, a colorful dish including rice, carrots, raisins, meat and nuts, as well as other dishes served at Assad’s home during the spring holidays. INSTRUCTOR: Assad Akhlaqi, born in Afghanistan, came to the US as a child. He loves to share food with others as a way of building community and family. COST: $5; $3 Shareholders
